About the event
The Armidale Youth Ministry Committee invites all those involved (or looking to be involved) in youth ministry to the 2024 Youth Ministry Training Day. This will be a brilliant opportunity to gather with like-minded leaders in youth ministry to think deeply about biblical principles for youth ministry, discipleship and evangelism.
Andy Stevenson from Youthworks (Head of Ministry Support and the SRE Office) will be joining us for the day to deliver several high-quality training seminars. Andy has been serving in youth ministry for over 20 years. He returns to lead the Ministry Support team at Youthworks after 9 years leading youth and young adults ministry at St Michael’s Anglican Cathedral Wollongong.
This is a free training day run for all those involved in youth ministry and their fellow leaders (and prospective leaders!).
Over the day we will:
- Hear a talk and be encouraged by Andy Stevenson (Youthworks) on the ‘why’ behind youth ministry
- Participate in 2 Youthworks seminars, thinking practically about running effective small groups and creating a mission culture at youth group
- Enjoy morning tea and lunch together (provided)
- Spend time networking with others in youth ministry from around the Diocese
